Collisions between citizens and police at candlelight vigils

Today, trade among the countries is material to globalize. Many countries are trying to trade for their own national interests. Trading between countries, however, it can be incurred an internal resistance and external problem because it might be possible that interest conflicts each other.

This collision also broke out of FTA(Free Trade Agreement). Korean government has decided to import American beef but most people are against that decision because they don’t want to be threatened their health bt Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, so thousands gathered and attended candlelight vigil amid bitter protests over ‘tained’ beef. The beginning of candlelight vigils, both of citizens and police were peaceful and calm but as time went by they got violent and then, finally a tacit agreement about peaceful display was broken off. Roadways were often occupied with citizens and the police resorted to compulsory measures to break up the crowd by water hoses. In the event, lots of people(including police) got injured. Some people recorded the events processed and outspread, so it becomes a big issue. A few citizens were confined and police also got punishment but important thing is that police are getting push to citizens, if anything, citizens are getting angry and more gathering. Finally, Korean government is trying to renegotiate changing some part of decision about importing American beef, at they also started to return in peaceful way.

The candlelight vigils are still in progress. The collision that the government to drive forward FTA for economic profit and people to protest their health from by Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy is not easy to find a solution because they see it from a totally different perspective. To bring a matter to a peaceful settlement , I think that they will require flexibility on both sides and they will need to settle the dispute by mutual concession.

Movie review

I saw a movie “Old boy” yesterday.

This movie’s story is about 15 years of imprisonment, five days of vengeance.

Old boy’s genre is a mixture on, it contains drama, mystery and thriller styles.

It was released on 21 November 2003.

Park Chan-wook is a director,

 Choi Min-sik and

 Yu Ji-tae are main actors,

 Kang Hye-jeong is main actress.

It is little bit bloody movie but I got a deep impression, and this movie’s story is come from comics but I thought how director Park can imagine and express that kind of scene.

Old boy is my favorite movie, so other people might not like this movie than me.

Who is the most influential or important Korean figure in history?

Now we live in Korea.

But you know what, who keep our territory during “Im-jin-wye-ran(the war between Korea and Japan)”

Korea was infiltrated by Japan at on the sea. At that time a general Lee Soon-sin protect our country.

He was born in 1545 and he was died in 1598.

We were weeker than Japanese marines, much less than ships and marines, but a general Lee Soon-sin invented a “Gu-book-sun(A warship, which a shape likes turtle.

If we didn’t have that warship at that time, we might be lived in small area country(compare to now) or another land.

He also had a talent of writing, so he wrote down diaries middle of wars which are “Nan-joong-il-gi”

He wrote down detailly, how he leaded his marines, how he won a matches and his emotions.

Midterm exam – Part C&D

Question-  1

Describe something (not someone) that makes you happy.

(Questions you may want to consider answering – What is it?  How important is it to you? How long have you had it? Where and When did you get it?  How did you get it? How often do you use it?  Why is it important? Etc…)

Answer:

My mp3 player(Iriver IFP-190TC) makes me happy and it is my first jewel.

I’ve had this mp3 for 10 years. I bought my mp3 at the Yong-san digital park store in 1998, August. I got this mp3 player for my birthday present from my mother. I will never forget my first jewel present.

I still use my mp3 player everyday. Actually I’m crazy in dance. Thus mp3player is essential equipment to me, whenever I want dancing or listening music.

It is very old and small capacity of mp3 but I like my mp3.

Question – 2

Write about the most embarrassing experience that has ever happened to you.

(Questions you may want to consider answering – How old were you? Where and when did it happen?  What happened?  Who saw it happen?  How did you feel? Etc…)

Answer:

When I was freshman, I did’t have my room in Jochiwon. I used to be a day student.

However I had to stay lately during in midterm exam period, so I asked to my senior student which was “Can I sleep in your room?”.

He allowed my asking and I slept in his room. Next morning, he tried to make ramyeon for our breakfast. But unfortunately there was no extra ramyeons. He asked me to buy 2ramyeons and an egg. I had to go out but I didn’t prepare my nightclothes, so a day ago I lent his shorts but that was too big to me. I grabbed my shorts and went to market and finally I bought 2ramyeons and an egg. I grabbed 2ramyeons to my left hand. I grabbed an egg to my right hand. Therefore I pushed my senior’s shorts to my elbow. Then I met a female friend and she said hello to me with waving her hand.

I did waving, too. But then I lost shorts so that shorts was going down. I grabbed the shorts instinctly with my right hand. Can you imagine after happening?

An egg bursted on the shorts. Especially the egg bursted very embarressing spot…

How to make the perfect single serving of Ramyeon

The army style ramyeon recipe = “Bbo Geul-E”

I like ramyeon very much and I can’t forget the “Bbo Geul-E”’s taste!

I’m sure, I think most of men who have ever gone military service, they can’t not remove “Bbo Geul-E”’s taste after night duty.

Now I’m going to tell you, how to make the “Bbo Geul-E”

You need utensils like a ramyeon(I prefer the “Sin Ramyeon”), hot water(about 550ml), an elastic cord.

First, open the ramyeon, put out 2powder packs and break down ramyeon(like a coin size)

Second, put in both of 2packs powder soup.(Actually one is a dried vegetables.

Third, pour 550ml hot water into the vinyl pack of ramyeon and bind upper side with aern elastic cord.

Then wait for 90seconds after, you can finally serve it!(with a spoon)
